The Sauna Tracker App Origins
We built Sauna Tracker because the existing solutions we subpar and we needed to subscribe to a monthly plan to unlock the most basic features. For example most apps lock your session history or streaks behind a monthly subscription, Sauna Tracker does not do that and you don't need a subscription, everything is included for a one time purchase price!
Sauna therapy is a game-changer for relaxation, recovery, and detoxification, and the Sauna Tracker app (available at saunatracker.app) takes it to the next level by putting data and control at your fingertips. Whether you’re a seasoned sauna enthusiast or just starting out, this app—paired with its Apple Watch integration—makes tracking and optimizing your sessions a breeze. In this step-by-step guide, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know to master Sauna Tracker, from downloading it to analyzing your sauna trends.
Step 1: Downloading the Sauna Tracker App from the Apple App Store
To get started, head to the App Store and search for “Sauna Tracker” Tap “Get,” authenticate with your Apple ID, and let it download to your iPhone. Once it’s installed, you’re ready to dive in!

Step 2: Installing the Sauna Tracker Apple Watch App
If you’ve got an Apple Watch, Sauna Tracker’s companion app is a must. After downloading the iPhone app, open the Watch app on your iPhone. Scroll to “My Watch,” find Sauna Tracker in the list, and tap “Install.” It’ll sync to your watch automatically. This lets you control sessions and monitor stats right from your wrist—perfect for those steamy sauna moments when your phone’s out of reach.

Step 3: Starting Your First Session with Sauna Tracker
Launch the app on yourApple Watch, and you’ll see a clean, intuitive interface that lists 3 Sauna Options. Traditional, Infrared or Steam Tap.
Selecting Your Sauna Type: Choose between options Infrared, Traditional, or Steam. This tailors the app’s tracking to your setup (e.g., infrared might focus more on deep-tissue heat benefits).
Selecting Your Session Goal: Set your desired Goal—click on the 3 dots to the right of the Sauna type and select Open, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min or 20 min.
Selecting Your Temperature: Click on the + or - to adjust the Sauna Temperature
Once you’ve locked in your preferences, click the back button and select the Sauna Type to start your session.


Step 4: Tracking Your Sauna Sessions with Sauna Tracker
While your session is in progress you'll see multiple metrics on the Watch Screen.
Live Heart Rate Tracking: Sauna Tracker logs and tracks your real time heart rate while in the Sauna, youll see it in the bottom left hand corner of your Watch.
Live Calorie Tracking: Saun Tracker logs and tracks real-time active calorie burn while in the Sauna, you'll see that in the bottom right hand corner of your watch.
Sauna Session Duration: Sauna Tracker tracks the time you've been in the Sauna, you'll see that in the middle of your screen.
Pausing Your Sauna Session: Swiping right while in the Sauna will reviel a Pass or Stop button, you can pause or stop your sauna sessions.
Viewing Metrics: If you swipe left, you can view your Sauna Metrics.


Step 5: Completing your Sauna Session
Depending on what time you selected when you started your Sauna Session, you will receive a push notification to your watch
Step 6: Viewing your Sauna Session in the Sauna Tracker Dashboard on iPhone
When your session is complete, the Sauna Tracker app on your Apple Watch Sends the session data to your iphone where it's stored in the Sauna Tracker Dashboard in the Sauna Tracker App. You can view the Session information by going to the Sauna Tracker App and clicking on Session History in the bottom Tab

Step 6: Viewing your Sauna Session details in the Sauna Tracker App for iPhone
After your Sauna Session is complete you can view the details of your Session in the Session History tab on the Iphone App. Click Session History and then click on your Session to display the details
